Kicked Out?!? No Problem!

One day while in a village, God told a friend of mine,

“Find the green door.”

Sure enough, there was a house with a green door. Behind the house, they found Christina stretched out on a grass mat, suffering from malaria. They asked if they could pray for her and found out she and her family were Muslim. So, they prayed in the name of Jesus for healing of malaria.

Soon after, Christina cried out in joy. She was healed of malaria but also something they didn’t even ask for. She’d been having a difficult time walking due to ankle pain but God grew a bone in her ankle to heal it. She began walking around the yard, full of joy.

After a time of rejoicing, my friend asked her,

“Do you know who Jesus is? He healed you.”

Mama Christina knew nothing about Jesus. As Ana shared Christina loved everything she heard about him. She knew Jesus was her healer & accepted Jesus as her Savior.

After I heard this story, I said, “I have to meet this woman!” We’d received word that because she accepted Jesus, her family was kicking her out of her home. God told me, “You need to baptize this woman so she can declare her faith publicly.” So, we brought a bottle of water to her house. I explained baptism to her and with a huge smile she removed the covering from her head, which was a big deal in their culture, to be baptized.

The next week we went to visit her and found she was gone. Her neighbor Anna came to us saying, “Christina went to other family in another village. She hopes they will accept her there.

When her family here said she had to leave because of her faith in Jesus she replied,

‘Kicked out? No problem!’”

Christina’s greatest treasure now is that she knows Jesus. She is a true disciple.

She really knows, “Take up your cross and follow me.” (Luke 9:23)
